Services

Is this contract for the whole season?

Hopefully but not necessarily. The contract can be canceled at any time. Some of our services such as lawn cutting, weeding and fertilization are done at regular intervals but others like clean ups and shrub trimming are done once at specific times.

When do you start mowing my lawn?

As soon as the grass starts growing. Typically we start mowing the last week of April.

When do you stop mowing?

The first week of November when your lawn is cut very short for the Winter and to help you or us with the Fall Clean Up. If no clean up is done, at least it is very short, and will help prevent leaves from collecting.

How often do you cut and what does a typical cutting consist of?

Once weekly. We trim everything and edge the curb, walkways and drives weekly. We typically double cut (sometimes more) your lawn to disperse and mulch the clippings. We cut at the industry accepted height for your grass which is dependent on seasonal conditions (like drought). Our men then blow all patios, walks and the street clear of clippings. Sometimes (if the grass is really growing)we have to blow the lawn to disperse clippings.

How often do you weed?

Once monthly. More upon request.

What do you do when you weed my beds?

All your beds are edged and/or clipped where necessary. Weeds are then removed using hand trowel(s) to pull the weeds. We then cultivate dirt beds and freshen bark beds.

What about weeds in my driveway?

We can spray the weeds in cracks in your drive, walkways and patio areas. This is an extra service not included  with a normal weeding.

How often do you trim shrubs?

Once seasonally. More often upon request.

What does a typical shrub trimming consist of?

Shrubs and ornamental trees are pruned, dead wooded and shaped. All trimming debris is then removed.

What do you do for a Spring or Fall clean up?

We mow your lawn really short and then completely remove twigs and leaf debris from the lawn, shrubs and clearly defined bed areas. After that is done, we vac the lawn thoroughly.

What does your fertilization program consist of?

We apply five times a season for different reasons. First we put down a granular pre-emergent crab grass killer that includes a slow release "golf course grade" fertilizer. Second we apply a spray weed killer. (spray is a more effective weed killer than a granular product) Third we apply a "golf course grade" slow release granular fertilizer.  The fourth application in early Fall is another spray weed killer app. Finally we put your turf to sleep through the Winter with another application of "golf course" grade slow release fertilizer.

Do you plant flowers and shrubs?

Yes. Earthworks plants shrubs, trees, annuals and perennials.
